Owner, Gary Bauer, with over 27 years experience, is talented in all aspects of production—both single-camera and multi-camera. First trained in medical video and in Hollywood, he co-founded in 1978 one of the first video facilities in Orange County, California. A native of Dallas, he returned home and started Alpha Video in 1981. Gary loves people, knows video, and enjoys being personally involved in Alpha’s projects.

He also knows ministry, with a Bible degree from Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi, and an M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California.

Susan Bauer writes and produces. With over 27 years in scripting and print communications, she also developed expertise in missions research and donor relations while on staff at World Vision International, Monrovia, California. Her writing and editing have appeared in numerous scripts as well as international magazines, missions publications, newsletters and promo pieces, training manuals, and newspapers.

Also a native Dallasite, Susan has a B.A., summa cum laude, from Belhaven College in business administration and Christian education. She audited communications courses alongside Gary at Fuller Seminary.

Their international travel experience includes Austria, Colombia, England, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Ukraine (former USSR).

The Bauers also have experience “on the other side of the camera” through appearances on World Vision specials, Ukrainian National Television, and local TV news. They have also been featured on BBC Radio Stoke, KBCI Radio, and Billy Graham’s “Decision Today.” Publications which have featured Alpha Video Productions include The Dallas Morning News, The Garland News, The Richardson News, Fuller Focus, The Fairfield Recorder, EMQ (Evangelical Missions Quarterly), Markee, and others.

The Bauers are parents of two grown daughters, both musicians.
